Jack is back and it seems Jack will live! Well, that's what 24 co-creator Robert Cochran has told TV Guide. With the latest season drawing audiences in on both sides of the Atlantic, fans of the hit show feared Bauer was going to be killed off. Especially after Kiefer Sutherland stated that "Live Another Day" was going to "bring a sense of closure" to the character, saying "I think one of the reasons why Howard Gordon really wanted to do these 12 episodes… was to end it."

So after that fans of the show will welcome Cochran's comment: "We're not going to kill him, I can guarantee you that."

But will that comment also add to the speculation that this may not be the last time we get to see Jack Bauer on our TV screens? Well, so far, Fox has yet to confirm whether the show will continue past the present season, but speaking to Digital Spy Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays Chloe O'Brian, thinks there may be a new day on the horizon.

"I would be shocked if they didn't make more - I would be surprised if they went to all the trouble to bring it back, make these 12 episodes and then that would be it."
