Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon, announced today that Ariana Greenblatt will be honored with the CinemaCon® Rising Star of 2024 Award. The prestigious ceremony, part of CinemaCon, the official convention of NATO, is scheduled to take place from April 8 to 11, 2024, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Greenblatt will receive this distinguished accolade during the Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony on Thursday, April 11, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, hosted by official presenting sponsor The Coca-Cola Company.

"Acting since the age of six, Ariana Greenblatt has a resume that already includes such high-profile films as Avengers: Infinity War, The One and Only Ivan, In the Heights, 65, and of course, the top-grossing film of 2023, Barbie," noted Neuhauser. "To say that her star is on the rise is a true understatement. Next up is the eagerly anticipated Borderlands which will undoubtedly continue this young star's trajectory towards stardom. We could not be more thrilled to honor her as our Rising Star of 2024."

This year, Greenblatt will grace the big screen once again in Lionsgate's eagerly awaited feature film adaptation of the electrifying video game Borderlands, set for release in theaters on August 9, 2024. In Borderlands, Greenblatt portrays Tiny Tina, a wild pre-teen demolitionist, joining an ensemble cast including Cate Blanchett, Edgar RamĂrez, Kevin Hart, Florian Munteanu, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Jack Black. The film, directed by Eli Roth from a screenplay by Eli Roth and Joe Crombie, promises an epic adventure on the chaotic planet Pandora, where a team of unlikely heroes must confront alien species and treacherous bandits to unearth Pandora's explosive secrets.

Greenblatt's recent roles include a standout performance in the summer blockbuster Barbie, earning her nominations for a Critics Choice Award for Best Young Actor/Actress and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Cast in a Motion Picture. In 2023, she captivated audiences in Sony Pictures' sci-fi thriller 65 opposite Adam Driver.

Greenblatt's illustrious career began at the age of six with appearances on Disney Channel's Liv and Maddie and Nickelodeon's Duda Brothers before she gained recognition for her breakout role in the Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle. Her versatile portfolio encompasses a wide range of film and television credits, including LucasFilm's Ahsoka, Netflix's Awake, Paramount Pictures' Love and Monsters, Warner Bros' In The Heights, Dreamworks' The Boss Baby: Family Business, Disney+'s The One and Only Ivan, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War, and STX's A Bad Moms Christmas.
