James Marsden has officially signed on to star in the upcoming CBS All Access limited series, The Stand. he will be playing the lead role alongside co-stars Amber Heard, Odessa Young and Henry Zaga. 

The Stand will, of course, be based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. The Stand is set in a post-apocalyptic world, destroyed by plague. The battle of good and evil rages across the world and its fate is in the hands of a handful of people.

Marsden will star as Stu Redman, Heard will portray Nadine Cross, young will portray Frannie Goldsmith, and Zaga will portray Nick Andros.
