Sheldon Cooper, the popular character from the hit TV show, Th Big BangTheory, could be getting his own spin-off. The show would feature the quirky character during his youth.

Warner Bros. and CBS are said to be in the early stages still, but nearing a script deal.

Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, is on baord to executive produce along with Chuck Lorre.  Showrunner Steve Molaro will also be executive producing, as well as writing the script.

In the spin-off, we will see a young Sheldon growing up in Texas with his family that is often mentioned in The Big Bang Theory.
