Marvel's "Daredevil: Born Again" Series Resumes Production with New Creative Team

After a hiatus caused by the writer's strike, Marvel Studios is gearing up to resume production on the highly-anticipated series "Daredevil: Born Again." The series faced some challenges that prompted a change in the creative team, including new writers and directors, to address issues that had arisen during the initial stages of production.

Notably, writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman have been released from their roles but will remain attached to the project as executive producers. With approximately half of the planned 18 episodes for the new series already in the can, this adjustment in the creative team is aimed at ensuring the series lives up to fans' expectations.

"Daredevil: Born Again" will mark the return of Charlie Cox, reprising his role as Daredevil/Matt Murdock. Originally, the series found its home on Netflix. However, following the launch of Disney+, all Marvel series were pulled from Netflix and migrated to the new streaming service. The original "Daredevil" series, which first premiered in 2015, gained acclaim for its gripping and dark storytelling, intense action sequences, and well-developed characters. It garnered a devoted fan base, and its cancellation after three seasons left many eager for more.

Charlie Cox's portrayal of Matt Murdock made a memorable appearance in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," further connecting the character to the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin character, a fan favorite, has made a noteworthy appearance in the "Hawkeye" series. These appearances have only stoked anticipation for the return of "Daredevil" and the continuation of its compelling story in "Born Again."
