Apple TV+ has just unveiled a sneak peek at its upcoming limited series, "Lady in the Lake," featuring Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram in leading roles. The highly anticipated seven-part series, set to premiere globally on July 19, 2024, promises an enthralling narrative that delves into the complexities of two women's lives amidst a gripping mystery.

Set in Baltimore during Thanksgiving in 1966, the series revolves around the disappearance of a young girl, which sets off a chain of events leading to a collision course between two women from vastly different backgrounds. Portrayed by Natalie Portman, Maddie Schwartz is a Jewish housewife yearning to shed her past and embrace a new identity as an investigative journalist. Opposite her is Moses Ingram's character, Cleo Sherwood, a mother navigating the challenges of Black Baltimore's political landscape while striving to support her family.

Initially seemingly parallel, Maddie and Cleo's lives intersect in unexpected ways, particularly as Maddie becomes fixated on unraveling the mystery behind Cleo's enigmatic demise. Directed by the visionary Alma Har'el, "Lady in the Lake" promises to be a gripping noir thriller, exploring the sacrifices women make in pursuit of their aspirations.

Joining Portman and Ingram in the cast are Y'lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, Noah Jupe, Josiah Cross, Mikey Madison, and Pruitt Taylor Vince, ensuring a stellar ensemble performance.

Produced by FIFTH SEASON, in collaboration with Crazyrose and Bad Wolf America, "Lady in the Lake" is the brainchild of director Alma Har'el and her producing partner Christopher Leggett. Portman, in addition to her starring role, serves as an executive producer alongside Sophie Mas. The late Jean-Marc Vallée and Nathan Ross, among others, also serve as executive producers, ensuring a powerhouse team behind the scenes.

Apple TV+ continues to redefine premium streaming entertainment, offering a diverse array of original series, documentaries, and films. Since its launch in November 2019, the platform has garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, including Emmy and Oscar wins for standout productions like "Ted Lasso" and "CODA."

With "Lady in the Lake," Apple TV+ adds yet another compelling title to its roster, promising audiences a thrilling and thought-provoking viewing experience when the series premieres in July 2024.
