Like the first two films Kendrick and Timberlake return to voice our favorite trolls, and they do so with great inflection and tonal quality.

It was 2016 when the world first met Poppy (Anna Kendrick; The Pitch Perfect franchise) and Branch (Justin Timberlake; In Time) in the DreamWorks Animation feature film, Trolls. Four years later a sequel, Trolls World Tour was released, followed by last year's Trolls Band Together.  It has been two months since the latter film premiered in the United States and this week it has become available for purchase on 4K.  Trolls Band Together, The Sing-Along Edition 4K disc is in stores now.

Love is in the air.  Poppy and Branch are officially a couple and King Gristle (Christopher Mintz-Plasse; Superbad) and Bridget (Zooey Deschanel; 500 Days of Summer) are getting married.  However, when a stranger, or so we think, interrupts the royal wedding Poppy discovers Branch has been keeping a very big secret.  It turns out the stranger is one of Branch's long-estranged brothers, John Dory (Eric André; The Righteous Gemstones), and that Branch was a member of one of Poppy's favorite Boy Bands, BroZone.  Not overly excited to see John Dory, Branch (and Poppy) agree to go with him to try and save their other brother, Floyd (Troye Sivan; X-Men Origins: Wolverine).

Like the first two films Kendrick and Timberlake return to voice our favorite trolls and they do so with great inflection and tonal quality.  Kendrick's Poppy is so perky one can't help but be uplifted by her sweet, excited voice.  Newcomers to the franchise include Andre, Sivan, Daveed Diggs (The Little Mermaid), Kid Cudi (Parachute), Amy Schumer (Trainwreck), and Camila Cabello (Cinderella).

Trolls Band Together Sing-Along Edition 4K video is superb which is exactly what you want in an animated feature.  The Dolby Vision quality with a 2.39:1 aspect ratio offers a clarity that is second to none.  The colors are so vibrant they pop at every turn and the animation is clean with sharp lines.  There are so many details it is hard to know where to look first and with so much happening onscreen, little ones are bound to be mesmerized by it all.

The Dolby TrueHD 7.1 is the perfect companion to the outstanding video and the depth of sound showcases the vocals beautifully.  The songs are a mix of old-school tracks blended with the '90s, '00s, and today's top songs plus new releases.  Of course, NSYNC fans just about lost their minds when it was revealed the movie would include a new song from the popular boy band that broke up about 20 years ago.  Their harmonies come through the surround speakers equally and offer a reminder of what the music at their concert sounded like.

The 4K combo pack includes the 4K disc with the theatrical version and the sing-along version, the Blu-ray disc, and the digital download. There are also approximately 30 minutes of extras on the 4K disc including the following: An original short called It Takes Three, Deleted Scenes, Fun in the Recording Booth, Hi, Hi, Hi, Building the Band, Together Again, Animating Trolls, How to Draw, How to: Hug Time Bracelets and Feature Commentary.  The short is cute and there is plenty of behind-the-scenes footage to enjoy.

Trolls are cute, colorful, and (mostly) happy creatures that not only fart glitter but vomit it as well.  This third installment adds to the fun adventures we have seen previously and gives NSYNC the perfect vehicle to "reunite" and create great music together again.

While I'm sure there are naysayers out there who want Trolls to go away for good, I, for one, hope they stay around for a while as they seem to bring a smile to both kids' and parents' faces alike.
